In 2025, Mobimed Pharmacy Limited, which is a pioneering healthcare provider in Ghana, established with the vision of making quality healthcare accessible to every Ghanaian, experienced remarkable growth after becoming the number one pharmacy provider for Nationwide Medical Insurance.
In addition to this feat, there were also over 34,000 client visits, representing a 64% increase compared to 2024.
“These achievements were driven by improved stock management, better availability of chronic medications, an expanded supplier base, an enhanced delivery service, and most importantly, the commitment of our staff,” the CEO, Dr David Sunu, said during the end-of-year 2025 Party held in Accra on Monday, 22 which was attended by 24 staff including the Head of Pharmacy Operations Maame Esi Amoah and Snr Accounts Officer Grace Nyarko.
Like any growing organisation, Dr Sunu stated that they faced challenges, including stock availability, workload pressures, communication gaps, and employee well-being concerns.
He assured that management takes these issues seriously and is actively addressing them.
Key initiatives include improving liquidity through deeper relationships with private health insurance companies, reviewing workflows and staffing to manage workload, and strengthening employee well-being initiatives.
“Our current performance sets the benchmark as we move into the new year. Key focus areas will include expanding delivery services, strengthening relationships with private insurers, increasing our online presence, and pursuing renovation and expansion opportunities,” he added.

“None of this would have been possible without your collective efforts—from pharmacists and support staff to delivery riders and management. Together, we are confident of achieving even greater milestones in the year ahead,” he stressed.
Mobimed Pharmacy has its headquarters at La, opposite Kingdom Books, with four pharmacy locations, supporting four dispensaries and operating a vibrant medicine delivery service.
