The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George has announced new DStv packages to be enjoyed by subscribers effective October 1, 2025.
The new packages comes after a recent meeting on reduction of subscription prices with operators of DStv, MultiChoice Ghana.
At a press briefing in Accra on Monday, September 29, 2025, Sam George said “Multichoice Africa has committed to implement an unprecedented increased value offer only in Ghana which will result in Ghanaian DStv subscribers getting more services for less.”
The new packages, he said will offer subscribers 33% to 50% more value depending on the DStv package of bouquet being used.
According to Sam George, Multichoice has offered value “over and above” what was expected of them prior to the meeting.
The new DStv packages from October 1, 2025 are as follows;
“For those who are on the Padii subscription, you currently pay GHC59. When you pay GHC59, you get to automatically access Second Bouquet which is valued at GHC99 and you get 35 more channels. This represents a 40% savings if you were to pay for the access yourself.
“Second Bouquet access – Currently going at GHC99, if you retain your GHC99 access, Multichoice will bump you up to the Family Bouquet which is currently priced at GHC190, you get 19 more channels. Which means that if you were to stay on access and get bumped up for the value you get, you make a savings of 48%.
“If you are on the Family Package which is currently valued at GHC190, DStv will automatically bump you up to Compact which ordinarily goes for GHC380. You get 22 more channels and access to live football matches. The value savings on this is 50%.
“Compact which is currently going for GHC380, gets bumped up automatically to Compact Plus which is currently going for GHC500. You get 12 more channels in addition and the value savings on this is 33%.
“Compact Plus valued at GHC570, you pay that and you are automatically bumped up to Premium which goes at the price of GHC865, you get 18 more channels and value of 34%.
“For those who remain on their Premium bouquet which is priced at GHC865, you will still get all the content on the flagship Premium bouquet but also gets an automatic entry into the competition for the chance to win a fully paid trip to watch selected English Premiership games but this is as well as you know subject to terms and conditions,” he announced.
There is no restriction on the subscriber choice of a bouquet, the offer is available to both existing and first customers from October 1, 2025.
