The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak on the advice of the National Security Council and by Executive Instrument has renewed the Curfew hours on Binduri Township and its environs in the Upper East Region.
The curfew starts from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am, effective Monday, September 29, 2025.
In a statement, he urged Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them as well as to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Binduri Township and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons, movement of motorbikes, men and women wearing smocks.
The Minister warned that any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
Similarly, the Minister for the Interior, on the advice of the National Security Council and by Executive Instrument, has renewed the curfew hours for Bawku Municipality and its environs in the Upper East Region from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am, effective Monday, September 29, 2025.
