Ken Agyapong’s daughter Yvonne Agyapong wins global award at Yale University

Yvonne Agyapong, daughter of former Assin Central lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong has bagged four top awards during the ceremony at Yale University, in Connecticut, USA.

The award ceremony took place on Monday, May 16.

Yvonne Agyapong obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Cognitive Science.

She was awarded the Arthur L Pulley LLB 53 and Bernice Cossey Pulley DIV 56 Research award for the advancement of Peace and Justice in the Americas and Africa.

Her latest academic success follows an already impressive track record.

She previously graduated from Union Catholic High School in New Jersey, where she was named valedictorian at the age of 18, excelling in subjects including Mathematics, English, and Social Studies.

Established in 2004, this award recognises a student from the House Community who has invested significant scholarship and or time into furthering peace and conflict resolution in the Americas and Africa.

She has been awarded a full scholarship to study anywhere in the world.

Another daughter of Ken, Amanda Agyapong, also had a dual Masters Degree, Wharton MBAnad Master of Arts in International Studies, from the University of Pennsylvania.

She is among the few Ghanaians who graduated with two Master of Arts in International Studies Focused on Sub-Saharan Africa.

She came out with a distinction.

This is an Ivy League school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in USA.
