Vice President of Imani Africa, Kofi Bentil, has congratulated Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the overwhelming votes he polled during the super delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held last Saturday, August 26.
Dr Bawumia swept 629 of the votes (68.15%) followed by Kennedy Agyapong and Alan Kyerematen with 132 votes (14.3%) and 95 votes (10.29%) respectively.
Addai-Nimoh and Mr Boakye Agyarko polled 9 votes each, resulting in a run-off between the two of them to determine who places 5th.
Commenting on this in a Facebook post, Mr Bentil who is also a private legal practitioner said “Democracy has the positive effect of giving everyone a chance, so We all get to try out options and learn that every choice is a trade-off.
“NPP made the best choice. Congrats Dr Bawumia. Onward and upwards. My faith in you is well Placed.”
